That Girl... That Quilt Along

Here are my most recent pictures from That Girl... That Quilt along.  I'm 80% happy with it but think I would rather have chose a different main colour, something a little more subdued.

Also in the photo is my dog Lolli who can't wait to get her grubby little paws on it!

This is my first ever quilt and it's all thanks to Jennifer for inviting me because I don't think I would have took the plunge.  She invited me to join and made it all so easy to follow:)

Well! I've been busy for a few days. Not a good start to my blog is it?

I've been swapping bedrooms round for my daughter. She's gone in a bigger bedroom to accommodate all her growing army of toys and I have jumped into her smaller bedroom for my sewing space! I'll post pictures when it's a bit neater. It's still got her bed in amongst other stuff!

I've also been busy on my "that girl... that quilt... quiltalong. I've finished peicing all the blocks together so that's another photo needed.

Here's something i've been working on today. It's a pointy kitty from the wee wonderfuls site. It's not quite finished and now I've given it to her so I'll have to try to get a picture for you. I think it looks quite cute like this though!

I've also had a bit of fun editing in Picnik.

OOOh Scary!!!

My first blog entry!!  It's not what i expected!

Well just a quick one.  I'm a mum to one 8yr old girl and a part time Welfare Assistant up at the school.  In between I try to do sewing (learning quilting with a quiltalong at the moment) knitting (been put aside for a while) and love looking at blogs and flickr.  Oh and forgot, have to look after the other half, daughter, dog, fish, hamster and house inbetween that!

At the moment while deciding to start my blog I'm having a glass of wine, babysitting my neice (7) cooking for other half to get in from golf!  I'm trying to do this before he gets in.  I want it to be a secret for now. haha.  My other world! I'm going to try to add a picture.  Wish me luck.

Just a quick intro and just a bit of an experiment for me to start with.
